How Will You Ensure That The People In Every Corner Of Sabah Are Able To Access These Information And Services ? Today the wonders of the communication and information technologies can reduce vastly the barriers of distance and space that disadvantage the rural areas. We aim to harness the technologies and applications that the Internet offers to meet the information needs of the people of Sabah. Sabah State Library plans to eventually provide Sabah.Net/Internet access in as many of its service points in Sabah as possible. This will include service points in the regional, branch, mobile and village libraries – comprising 67 locations throughout the state of Sabah. In addition, under Edu.Net, the state government has commenced the setting up of IT Labs in schools. Various organizations will also be putting up access points in places of worship like suraus. It is hoped that more and more people in Sabah will have access to eMas Sabah through these access points as well as through personal and corporate Sabah.Net/Internet accounts and cybercafes. Sabah State Library also intends to make pertinent jnformation gathered from the various NGOs for eMas Sabah available in print format from those branch. Mobile and village libraries that do not yet have Internet access.
