Achievements and Plans

Since the Crew's formation in 1994, the Crew has achieved quite a number of successes. The Crew succeed in becoming one of the most prominent crew in the district as well as in the State. Perhaps the Crew's proudest achievement is the launching of their very own homepage on the 29th March, 1997 by Encik Awang Zainie Haji Suntim, the Chief Scout Commisioner of Sabah and witnessed by Yang Mulia Ku Bahdor bin Ku Bahrom, the Malaysian National Scout Assistant Commissioner (Public Relations). Our crew is the second Rover Crew in Malaysia and the first scout group in Sabah to have its own homepage.

1998 was also a big year for the Crew. In conjunction with the 75th Anniversary of the Kota Kinabalu Scouts movement, the Crew has initiated and organised the Kota Kinabalu Scout Diamond Jubilee Celebration 1998 Launching Ceremony and was the major contributor to the success of the Kota Kinabalu Scout Diamond Jubilee Camp 98 later of the year.

Other achievements are:

• Has organised Scouts Cultural Night Annually since 1994
• Participated in the Scouts Flag Bearer Contingent during the Merdeka Celebration in Kota Kinabalu on 31st August 1996
• Organised community welfare projects especially with the orphanage at Tambunan, Kota Belud and Suria Welfare House, Likas
• Organised outdoor activities such as mountain climbing, camping, cycling etc
• Serviced and participated in Camps and Jamborees.

In conjunction with the Crew's 5th Year Anniversary, the Crew plans to celebrate with all the Scouts in Kota Kinabalu and the surrounding districts by organising the Scouts Cultural Night 99. Various competitions will be held. Sponsors for the project are very much welcome. Hopefully with this project, the Crew will be more determine to achieve its mission as the leader for Rovering in Sabah specially and Malaysia generally.
