A bit on our geographical location...
Where are we?
We are at Kota Kinabalu, the
State capital city of Sabah (formerly known as North Borneo), in EAST MALAYSIA.
Kota Kinabalu, formerly known as Jesselton, is located on the west coast
of Sabah and has a population approximately 300,000 people.
The
main attraction of Sabah is the Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in
Borneo Island. Standing at about 4,093 metres above the sea level the mountain
is a popular spot from climbers all around the world including scouts.
It is only about 60km away from Kota Kinabalu.
Mt Kinabalu is also the
venue of the annual Climbathon
event, one of the toughest mountain race in the world. Other attractions
are the Sepilok rehabilitation centre for orang utan in Sandakan, and the
islands of Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park and Sipadan Island which is
well known for its tropical reefs and beautiful corals.

How do I go there?
If you are planning to visit
us, you can reach us via our national capital city, Kuala Lumpur, by our
national airlines,
(MAS)
through to Kota Kinabalu. You can also reach us through other airlines
such as Transmile Air and Asia Air. Kota Kinabalu can also be reached directly
by other foreign airline such as Philippines Airlines (PAL), Singapore
Airlines, Royal Brunei or Dragon Air. Just check out at your local travel
agent.
Oh yes, if you are a low-budget traveler (like we
scouts) we can arranged for accomodation at the Farida's
Bed and Breakfast, our Crew Sponsor.
