Kg. Samparita Community Development Project, Kota Marudu, Sabah
Kg. Samparita old community hall (Balai Raya) has been renovated for community service.
The community has been encouraged to be involved in the following activities:
- We started a programme to assist children to improve their English by conducting classes.
- The community and volunteers participated and contributed towards the repair of their water supply which was damaged in the flood.
- Health check-ups is conducted and focus is put on teaching healthy living to the community.
- Handicraft workshop on bead making to generate income.
In December 2007 Malaysia New Zealand Business
Council(MNZBC)donated 3 PVC water tanks of 400 galloons each and 8
pieces zinc sheets with nails at an estimated cost of RM1,500.00
MNBC medical team also
conducted a health check programme on that day. The response from the
kampong people is good.
In December 2009 Sabah Venturers International helped to
construct a water gravity feed system to provide clean
water to the community.
