IEM Sabah Excellence Award 1996
Recipient: Datuk Ir. Hiew Thien Choi.
Datuk Ir. Hiew was the IEM Sabah Branch Chairman from 1989 to 1991. He was a member
of the Board of Engineers Malaysia for a full 5 year term. He received the award
from the IEM Deputy President Ir. Mazlan during the Sabah Branch 20th Annual Dinner
on November 16 1996 at a leading hotel in Kota Kinabalu. The event was witnessed by
about 550 engineers and guests, among whom was the Deputy Chief Minister of Sabah,
Datuk Tham Nyip Shen.
