Likas Assemblyman, Datuk Yong Teck Lee has filed a motion in the
forthcoming State Assembly sitting, on the formation of a Committee of the
Assembly to resolve the issue of phantom voters in the Sabah electoral
roll.
"The All-Party Committee on Illegal Immigrants has been formed for some time and is handling a long-standing problem on illegal immigrants which may take a longer time to resolve. "The proposed Committee on phantom voters, given the specific task of cleaning up the electoral roll should be able to do so within one year and before the next State Election," said Yong. |
