KOTA KINABALU: Members of two new Rela platoons received their certificates of training at Telipok, near here, over the weekend.

Member of Parliament for Gaya, Datuk Yong Teck Lee pledged to give his full support to the Rela movement which promotes fellowship and provides security as well as voluntary services to the community.

Yong, in his address to Rela members, said he will assist Rela in terms of getting some of the necessary equipment to enhance efficiency of the corp when carrying out their duties.

The heads of the two platoons, Mohd Afandi Abdullah for Platoon 0152 and Lim Goo Soon of Platoon 0153, were presented with certificates of appointments form Sabah Rela Director, Supt Abdul Mutalib Hashim.

Mutalib thanked the people of Telipok for their enthusiastic support and at the same time urged them to encourage their family members and friends to take part in the service.
