From the very beginning, the Association regularly published a news letter to let the members and other interested parties know of the activities of the Association. Music and Dance classes are regularly conducted and well attented. The PWTS choir has become an integral part of any social event organized by the Welfare Council and a number of other organizations. The Association also conduct lessons in Tai-Chi, Qigong, Aerobics, Japanese Language, Cooking and Computer. Every year several excursions and picnics were organized for the enjoyment of members. Regular blood pressure checks and glucose tests are conducted in our premises for the benefit of interested members. A program for assisting sick members as well as the sick elderly non-members is in active operation. A retired nursing sister Pn. Catherine Liau is the coordinator for this project. Periodic talks by experts in various fields are also arranged to expose our members to the new developments occurring in the present fast moving world of knowledge. Another very popular program is the monthly birthday party. The second Friday of the month is set aside for this.
Majority of the Association members have shown to be more concerned to contribute than to benefit at this stage. The membership consists of professionals, business people, educationists and others who have vast experience and expertise in their fields. They could be of immense help to the younger generation in giving them advice and counseling and the Government could utilize these members in various fields as consultants in guiding the nation to its goal of vision 2020.
