Activities

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

1. Early detection of cancer through a mobile cancer screening center;
2. Aid the Medical Department and the Health Ministry in providing adequate treatment;
3. Manpower training and research;
4. Rehabilitation of cancer victims and their dependents;
5. Launching of financial self-supporting cancer campaign all year round;
6. Contribution towards a "total cancer care center".

The plan of action

1. Assessment of public attitudes and education about cancer by direct contact;
2. Evaluation of a stratified cancer education program based on local needs;
3. Transfer of cancer information in easily understood terminology in local languages;
4. Conducting educational programs all year round;
5. Co-ordinating medical, paramedical and voluntary service bodies in early detection of cancer;
6. Fund-raising for the purchase of sophisticated cancer detection and treatment equipment;
7. Striving to include cancer education in schools and colleges;
8. Actively sponsoring research.
