Warning Signs of Eye Trouble

 |
In Children :
 | Rubs eyes excessively |
 | Shuts or covers one eye, tilts head
or thrusts head forward |
 | Has difficulty in reading or other
work requiring close use of the eyes |
 | Blinks more than usual or is
irritable when doing close work |
 | Is unable to see distant things
clearly e.g. blackboard . |
 | Squints eyelids together or frowns |
 | Poor school performance |
In Adults :
 | Blurred or foggy vision |
 | Loss of side vision |
 | Rainbow coloured rings around lights |
 | Inability to adjust the eyes to
darkened rooms such as in cinemas |
 | Frequent changes of glasses, none of
which is satisfactory |
 | Double vision or spots in the field
of vision. |
KEEP IN MIND THAT HAVING ANY OF THESE
SYMPTOMS DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN THE PRESENCE OF SERIOUS EYE TROUBLE. HOWEVER,
IF ANY OF THESE INDICATIONS PERSIST, AN IMMEDIATE MEDICAL EYE EXAMINATION IS
IMPERATIVE.
