Placement Unit

In August 2000, a Placement Unit was set up in the Society to provide training and to seek employment opportunities for the blind.

In this regard, activities carried out included:-

	Providing reflexology and body acupuncture pressure point courses. Since 2000, the courses has produced 68 reflexologists and masseurs, 85% of whom are gainfully employed;
	Identifying employment opportunities and potential employers by carrying out working and field visits;
	Organizing public awareness activities on employment for the disabled in Sabah.
