Training

The Taman Cahaya Training Centre and The Wallace Sheltered Workshop have provided training programs for the blind such as:-

Rehabitation programs

	orientation and mobility with aid of the white cane
	daily living skills;
	reading and writing in Braille;
	preparing and cooking food;

Vocational programs

	weaving rattan handicraft;
	rearing livestock;
	preparing land plots for cultivation;
	running a small retail shop;
	foot reflexology and body massage;

Co-curricular activities

socializing with people and leadership training through participation in games, sports and recreational activities.

Education

The Society has organized Braille Classes at the Sabah State Library and also sent blind participants to undergo computer literacy courses at the St. Nicholas Home in Penang.

The young blind children attend the Sekolah Rendah Pendidikan Khas in Tuaran and the older blind students attend the SMK Badin in Tuaran under the Integration Program.
