1. There are three types of membership and the first two category of members should be 18 years of age or above.

  2. ORDINARY MEMBER: Any person residing in Sabah and interested in the work of the Society is eligible to become a member.

  3. LIFE MEMBER: Any ordinary member by subscribing a lump sum of RM30 as his/her subscription can opt to be a Life Member.

  4. GROUP MEMBERSHIP: Group membership shall be open to Schools, Institutions, Organizations, etc. The Group as a whole shall be entitled to one vote at any meeting.

  5. Every application for Membership of the Society shall be made in the prescribed Application Form shall be proposed and seconded by two existing members and shall be forwarded to the Branch Secretary who shall submit it to the Branch Committee at the first conveniet opportunity for approval. The Branch Committee may at its discretion reject any application without assigning any reason therefore.

  6. Any applican whose application for membership has been refused by a Branch Committee may appeal to the Central Committee for its consideration whose decision shall be final.

  7. Every applicant whose application has been approved as aforesaid, upon payment of the prescribed entrance fee and annual subscription, shall be admitted as a member of the Society and shall be entitled to all the privileges of membership.

  8. The Entrance Fee is RM1, Ordinary Membership Annual Subscription Fee is RM2, Life Membership Fee RM30 and Group Membership Annual Subscription Fee is RM10.

  9. All Annual Subscriptions shall be payable to the Branch Treasurer in advance before 1st July of each year. Annual Subscriptions not paid before 1st July shall be deemed as arrears.

  10. Any member who allows his subscription to be in arrears for twelve months shall receive written notification signed by or on behalf of the Branch Treasurer, and shall be denied the privileges of membership until he/she settles his/her account.

  11. Any memberwho allows his subscription to be in arrears for 3 years shall automatically cease to be a member of the Society and the Branch Committee may direct that appropriate action be taken to recover all dues.

  12. The Branch Committee shall have the power to fix a re-entrance fee for any person who has allowed his/her membership to lapse through arrears.

  13. Special subscription or levies for particular purpose may be raised from members by resolution of the Committee Meeting of the Branch. If any member fails to pay such subscription within such period as may be resolved, the amount due shall be treated in the same way as arrears of Annual Subscription.

  14. Any member who is aggrieved by the imposition of the special subscription or levies may appeal to the Branch Committee for exemption from paying the additional subscription or levies.
